Some New Pictures

Here's what a kid and her playdoh looks like. I'm not sure these pictures would have changed much in the last 50 years...just the kids. Although I will say that playdoh has a lot more "extra" things that come with it now. For example, Devera has a haircutting stand and a birthday set. I think when we were kids they just had the playdoh and that was about it.
The second picture is for Grandma. Every time Devera makes this face we think of the "incident". One day when Devera was staying with Grandma, she called with Devera crying like crazy in the background. Apparently there were some discussions about what faces were allowed to be made and not made. I think Grandma was laying down the hammer because she was afraid Devera's face was going to "stick" like that. That has to be the Best Baby Boomer's Urban Legend I can think of. I'm positive there wasn't a parent alive in the 70's and 80's that didn't utter the words, "stop doing that - - - if you're not careful your face is going to stick like that forever."

It's been a little while....

Hello out there!
My "Year of Simplification" has had a few casualties as well....including my blog. For those of you that didn't know, my New Year's Resolution last year was to simplify things so that I would have more time for fun things. So in addition to cleaning a ton of things in my glass room, I also had two additional glass cabinets built for me this year. So all of my glass is now off the floor and organized for easy use. The downside of all of this cleaning and taking on some big projects here at the house is that I haven't been making many beads the last month or so. Fortunately I set up an auction to kick off on Ebay on Thanksgiving afternoon. If you have some time between football and turkey hopefully you'll take a quick look. Have a Great Thanksgiving!
