I messed up the bead gallery when I posted my Ebay auction earlier this evening. So - looks like Toby has a new solution that she is planning on trying. I'll let you know when the Beads page is back up and running. Tonight Toby had yoga class so Devera and I went for a walk down to Multnomah Village and went for ice cream, bought a puzzle from the toy store, and played at the park...that was a fun evening! Last note for the evening - - I did manage to get a new Ebay auction up in the spirt of Halloween. The beads are called Boston Gamilton and I'm sure some of you will get the little story that is in the Ebay description.
Isn't this a cute picture? Devera was helping Toby clean up the herb garden the other day. It was neat to see her playing and smelling the rosemary bush, since that was the plant/herb that my dad liked so much when he was alive. We used a bunch of herbs in some homemade pizza that we made last night....wow, was it fantastic!
Ok - so I think the site is all set now. If you see any broken links or things that don't work feel free to shoot me a quick note or post a comment to this entry.
I hope you are enjoying the new site layout. Toby and I are still working out some of the bugs so you might see some crazy stuff pop up from time to time. It's getting closer though so that is pretty exciting. I really like this new blogger feature for the journal. It's so much easier than the old one. ....and I think you guys can even post comments as well.
Last night I had a late soccer game so I'm a little tired today. The weather is so gorgeous though so I'll need to spend some time outside!
Here's one more picture from our trip to Orcas Island....Devera loves apples!
Wow - that was a lot of fun. I can't believe the Saints actually won tonight on Monday Night Football. For those of you who don't know Toby and I lived in New Orleans for a couple of years while I was going to school at Tulane. So we were pretty bummed when the Hurricane hit last year. But even before I lived in New Orleans, I've was a die-hard Saints fan. I started liking them when I was 12 years old. And as any Saints fan knows - - they've only won 1 playoff game in those 26 years...sigh. So it was super exciting thinking about how happy the people of New Orleans are going to be tonight! One funny note, the announcers kept saying that the people of New Orleans would be happy that something was back to normal now that the Saints were playing in the Super Dome again....we'll I'm hear to tell you, there is nothing normal about the Saints being 3-0! Let the good times roll.........
Horray! Toby has built me this fabulous new website. In addition to the obvious changes like colors, layout, etc. - - there are a number of new features that make it easier for me to update....including this new journal (for you technical people out there, I think you call it a blog). Anyway, the end goal is for me to be able to update my site more frequently. Here's to a new beginning....
It's been a super busy weekend for us - - but lots of fun too! On Friday I took Devera to the zoo. She had a fabulous time, especially watching the polar bears. She's still talking about the zoo and it's been a few days now. On Saturday we all went out to the County Fair. She loved all the animals, although I think the pigs kind of scared her a bit when they oinked at her. And then last night we met up with a bunch of friends at the Portland Timbers soccer game. The weather was super nice and Devera had a fun time. She really likes going to soccer games....she'll talk about it non-stop for days after we go.
So I've also added a few more pictures from our Orcas Island/Vancouver trip to the left - - happy viewing!
